HISTORY OF BERKO & BAYO
Since its founding in 2022, Berko&Bayo® has transformed original ideas, hand-drawn illustrations, and creative expression into distinctive T-shirt designs that go beyond fashion. Each piece begins with an idea and evolves into wearable art—created to inspire thought, spark conversation, and celebrate individuality.
The House's founder, Guccio Gucci, was born in Florence on March 26, 1881. In his youth, he moved to London, where he began working as a porter at The Savoy hotel in 1897. Inspired by his observations of the jet set there, he returned to Florence in 1902 with the dream that one day luggage would bear his name, and, in 1921, he opened the first Gucci boutique on Via della Vigna Nuova.
Gucci represents the pinnacle of Italian artisanal excellence and its designs are unsurpassed for their quality and attention to detail. Following the House’s centenary, Gucci continues to redefine luxury while celebrating creativity and innovation through its collections of ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, bags, jewelry, watches, décor, and more.
Berko & Bayo® upholds recognized international standards of social and environmental responsibility across all its operations. From selecting and tracing raw materials to designing and crafting my products, I prioritize a circular approach that maintains my long-standing commitment to quality, durability and creative enlightenment and perspectives.
Through ongoing innovation and optimization of my production processes, I strive to approach involves transforming our sourcing strategy by investing in new sourcing solutions, lower impact materials, and regenerative agriculture projects for the production of the raw materials used in our collections.
